Expert Advice for a Fast Start in Your Content Curation Efforts

Are you looking to get a fast start out of the blocks in your race for improved content marketing ? Then check out Elrica Gosiengfiao’s content curation tips from several marketing experts. She even includes a fun Dilbert cartoon about content curation. Elrica is spot on when she writes about the need to “add your own flair” as part of content curation:

Simply rewriting and republishing content doesn’t make you any different from aggregation sites. Curating great content and adding your own input or commentary allows you to showcase your taste and expertise, and helps build up your brand’s reputation as an industry leader.”

The only change I’d suggest to her post is to clarify her reference to “using multiple platforms”. From a content curator’s perspective, this indicates the need to publish your curated piece to multiple destinations/platforms. (e.g., Pinterest, Twitter, Google+)  Content curation software can greatly facilitate this process with one push of a button. The curator should also comment directly on the blog that they curate from.
