Is Your Content Contagious? (Hint: It Should Be)

Marketers should always aim to create content that is highly sharable. In some ways, content should be like the common cold —  easily shared from person to person and network to network. However, unlike a cold, people will want to share content with friends and followers (if it has the right characteristics). In this post, Jeff Bullas outlines 10 different ways to make your content contagious. One way? React fast and capitalize upon a hot news item. He gives two pieces of advice for reacting quickly online:

  • Being able to react to the moment is now possible for even the smallest businesses, thanks to smartphones and their cameras. Share breaking news, experiences or exchanges to engage your audience.
  • If you know there is a conference going on that is closely aligned to your business, and you know what the hashtag for the conference is, you could leverage that by sending out relevant tweets incorporating the hashtag.
