Lessons Learned on Content Marketing from Gartner

Curata CMO, Michael Gerard, has compiled a list of learning that he took away from Gartner’s recent roadshow tour stop in Boston where a panel discussion led by Jake Sorofman covered the “Three C’s of Content Marketing: Creation, Curation and Cultivation”.

As expected, a large part of the discussion focussed on curation with takeaways such as:

“As you execute your content marketing strategy to deliver content to your audience, don’t just think like a publisher; think like a journalist and artist to rise above the noise.” [Sorofman]

Basically Sorofman is saying that simply creating and publishing content is not sufficient, you also need to rise above the noise perhaps by even helping reduce it using curation as a means to distill down only the best content.
