Satisfy the Content Beast’s Appetite
One the biggest challenges content marketers face is publishing enough quality content to keep their readers interested. However, it can be incredibly difficult to feed the content beast with limited staff and resources. Jake Sorofman, Research Director at Gartner, provides us with eight tips to help satiate the content marketing beast.
Cast a wider net—Look beyond your core team to contribute content. Find the guest contributors and natural evangelists hiding in plain sight. The best content marketing programs are supporting by a community of occasional contributors, a roving band of stringers. Find them. Put them on assignment.
Make lists—Do as I’m doing now: Take a topic—any topic—and distill it down to the key dos or don’ts. Everyone loves a list—it’s spoon-fed insight, which is nourishment for the frazzled soul.
Content curation is another excellent way to push out relevant, high quality content for readers. Curate content from reputable sources in your industry and annotate these curated pieces with your own insights and opinions for additional value. Repurpose great content, perhaps an eBook, into more digestible pieces such as blog posts or infographics. Get the most out of each piece of content you create so you’re able to publish consistently - and be sure to check out the rest of Jake’s tips.
