    1. 'Working at the top of their game' is a phrase we all hope to have used to describe the work we do.  In reaching for this benchmark, we can fail to aim for a description that would be far more impressive: 'playing at the next level.'

      B2B marketers 'working at the top of their game' increase web traffic quality and sales leads to seemingly unprecedented levels through the power of content marketing.  However, it is the B2B marketers 'playing at the next level' that achieve truly unprecedented levels when they boost content marketing efforts with content curation.

      For many, this begs the question: what is content curation

      If you are familiar with Google Reader or a similar feed reader, you know it aggregates syndicated content in a single view, i.e:

      • blog posts, 
      • news headlines, and
      • podcasts. 

      Curation, instead of simply aggregation, adds an editorial component to the content being shared.  

      Properly leveraging curation can transform every step - and every substep - of a content marketing strategy into a task consisting of less than twenty minutes each day.  In this time, output can be doubled as resources ranging from news releases to blog posts can repurposed as original content.

      Important to clarify at this point is that we are not suggesting content marketing through curation should replace content creation efforts.  Playing at the next level is not a relief from difficult yet rewarding work.  

      Today's most savvy B2B marketers are smart enough to know there is simply too much content available to process manually.  Today's smartest B2B marketers know that playing at the next level of content marketing, and ensuring this tactic keeps the sales funnel full, means automating efforts through content curation.
