    2. Yahoo to kill Snip.it like how they destroyed del.icio.us?

According the the article, Yahoo is expected to announce that it has acquired Snip.it, a Pinterest-like site for article curation, according to sources who are familiar with the deal.  Kara Swisher comments on Yahoo's new approach to become a content destination:

    5. Does content curation have a scaling problem?

Thought provoking article on the curation craze. Erin Griffith argues that curation is fundamentally a human process, but as a result, it cannot scale like algorithms. In the end, however, she concludes that quality will win over quantity, and that curation will provide a unique human experience that cannot be replicated by algorithms:

A business based on human curation will always be smaller by definition than one that scales through algorithms and computers. But that human element makes what they’re building that much more valuable... But that’s fine, indeed desirable. Because tech can be replicated. Taste cannot.
